Sheboygan County has an incredible selection of restaurants to entice every palette so that you can ‘taste the good life’ when visiting The Rochester Inn! From exquisite fine dining to the best local eateries, you’ll have a hard time choosing your favorite restaurant when you visit Sheboygan Falls. Our staff loves to share our favorites, all located within a short walk or drive from The Rochester Inn…we invite you to explore them all!
Sheboygan Falls
For a truly local experience, take a walk through downtown Sheboygan Falls to Bread & Bean Eatery, just three blocks from The Rochester Inn. This cozy neighborhood favorite was voted one of the “Best of Sheboygan County” for the past four years. The pretzel-crusted walleye, available for Friday dinner, is not to be missed! We love Firehouse Pizza, housed in a beautiful historic building and also located just around the corner. Their signature pizza recipe hasn’t changed in 25 years, and they also offer an incredible selection of homemade desserts. Firehouse Pizza delivers to The Rochester Inn if you’d prefer to enjoy dinner in your guest room! If you’re craving Mexican cuisine, stop in at El Rancho Viejo, the newest addition to our local dining scene! Delicious house specialties are served in a freshly renovated landmark building, or enjoy a margarita in their friendly bar. Fat Cow Pub & Eatery, also just a two-block walk from The Rochester Inn to our historic downtown district, is a great place to relax for drinks or a casual dinner while enjoying live music on the weekends.
Kohler
Less than a ten-minute drive from The Rochester Inn, the Village of Kohler is a gourmet’s paradise! Indulge in an afternoon specialty coffee, ice cream, or sweet treat at The Green House, a charming antique solarium that now serves as a lovely garden cafe. The Blind Horse Restaurant & Winery is one of our guests’ favorites, and features a farm-to-table experience in a gorgeous, rustic setting. Enjoy a tasting at their world-class winery before dinner! For a casual lunch or dinner, The Horse & Plow, a historic tavern located within The American Club, is a fun choice that offers classic American fare and an extensive selection of microbrews and premium European beers. Taverne on Woodlake, a wood fired grill overlooking beautiful Wood Lake, is the perfect location for a casual yet refined dining experience, serving both lunch and dinner. For a celebration, a visit to The Immigrant Restaurant will be unforgettable. Forbes Four-Star, AAA Four-Diamond rated, this beautiful and historic restaurant offers fresh contemporary cuisine, artfully prepared.
Sheboygan
Within 15 minutes of The Rochester Inn, Sheboygan is quickly becoming a dining “hot spot.” Il Ritrovo serves outstanding wood-fired pizza and cocktails for lunch and dinner, and Stefano’s Slo-Foot Market, their specialty store around the corner, is the perfect place to pick up locally-prepared salads and Italian cheeses and meats for your picnic plans. Located just across the street, Trattoria Stefano is “the” place in Sheboygan for authentic Italian cuisine in a warm and informal setting. The Sheboygan Riverfront Boardwalk offers many fun dining options, and our favorite is Harry’s Prohibition Bistro, a Neapolitan pizzeria & wine bar filled with1920’s jazz-age ambiance. If you’re looking for a classic Wisconsin supper club experience, Rupp’s Downtown is one of Sheboygan’s oldest restaurants…enjoy a cocktail at the original 1939 bar while observing the chefs at work behind the glass-enclosed kitchen. For a classic after-dinner ice cream drink, or a delicious & unique dinner, Urbane is one of our downtown Sheboygan favorites, with a fun & upscale bar scene.
Elkhart Lake
A visit to one of the most beautiful lake communities in Wisconsin, just 20 minutes from The Rochester Inn, is not to be missed! Our favorite is Paddock Club, which serves seasonal cuisine and eclectic cocktails in a beautiful historic building. Located just next door, Lake Street Cafe is a local favorite specializing in ‘from-scratch’ cooking & offering friendly service. Concourse Restaurant & Lounge offers casual, fresh options with gorgeous lakeside views. For a fun lunch or coffee during your visit, stop into Off the Rail, a cozy café located in Elkhart’s original railroad depot. Step back in time with a visit to Gessert’s Ice Cream and Confectionery, open during the summer months, serving hand-packed ice cream, sodas, and homemade fudge.
