The Bull at Pinehurst Farms

Located 1.5 miles from The Rochester Inn. Experience Wisconsin’s only Jack Nicklaus Signature golf course at The Bull. Opened in 2003, this course is ranked #91 in Golf Digest’s 2021/2022 America’s 100 Greatest Public Golf Courses.

The Bull offers beautiful fairways that blend naturally with the wetlands, woodlands and rivers throughout 400 acres.

Blackwolf Run

Located 2 miles from The Rochester Inn.  Golf courses at Blackwolf Run include The River, The Meadow Valleys, & The Baths.  Opened in 1988, Blackwolf Run was named “Best New Public Course” in the country by Golf Digest in 1988. This challenging course is regarded as one of Pete Dye’s crowning achievements.

Ranking #16 in Golf Digest’s 2021/2022 America’s 100 Greatest Public Golf Courses and #43 in Golfweek’s 2022 Best Resort Courses.  GOLF Magazine says this course “must be considered the nation’s finest public-access course of modern times.”

The Meadow Valleys is ranked #74 in Golf Digest’s ranking of America’s 100 Greatest Public Golf Courses for 2021/2022.

The Baths of Blackwolf Run

The newest addition to Kohler’s golf collection, the Baths of Blackwolf Run, designed by Herb Kohler & Pete Dye-protege Chris Lutzke, features a 10-hole par 3 course, 2 acre putting course, and unique food & beverage service.  It’s designed for a fun & easygoing golf experience in a beautiful setting.

Whistling Straits

Located 11.5 miles from The Rochester Inn.  Crafted by hall-of-fame designer Pete Dye, Whistling Straits golf courses include The Straits and The Irish. Considered the best championship course in the United States, The Straits at Whistling Straits hosted the 2004, 2010 and 2015 PGA Championships and was the site of the 2020 Ryder Cup.

The Bog

Located 30 miles from The Rochester Inn. The Bog opened in 1995 and is rated one of the top 5 Arnold Palmer Signature Courses in the United States. The course consists of of 297 acres of woods, wetlands, rolling hills, and wildlife habitat and features 118 bunkers. The Practice Center has been named one of the TOP 50 Public Ranges in America by Golf Ranges Association of America.

Erin Hills

Located 56 miles from The Rochester Inn. Erin Hills was the site of the 2017 U.S. Open Championship and is ranked #9 in Golf Digest’s 2021/2022 America’s Greatest Golf Courses.  Opened in 2006, the architects of Erin Hills adopted a minimalist approach in designing their 653 acres, “as nature had sculpted the land so well that the golf holes seemed to emerge from the property.”

The Golf Courses at Lawsonia

Located 65 miles from The Rochester Inn. Lawsonia opened in 1929 and is ranked #68 in Golf Digest’s 2021/2022 America’s Greatest Golf Courses.  Golfweek states that “Lawsonia has been one of Wisconsin’s very best golf destinations for generations.  Further improved by new, state-of-the-art golf course management of its fairways and rolled bentgrass greens, The Links and The Woodlands have never been better.”
